Costco has issued an advisory notice for customers that have purchased one of their advent calendars for dogs. The advisory recommends that customers stop using the calendar immediately, meaning the treats should not be handed out to their dogs.
The product advisory was posted on the website on December 11th, 2021. It is explained in the notice that the affected calendars will have been purchased between the dates of the 1st October 2021, and the 8th December 2021.
The details of the product Costco is referring to are the Irish Rover 2021 Advent Calendar for Dogs, with item number 2462182. If you have purchased a doggie advent calendar by that name from Costo within the time period mentioned, they recommend returning the product to any Costco store and they will be happy to issue a full refund to anyone wanting one. Alternatively, the calendar should be disposed of to avoid accidental use.
The product advisory notice reads, “out of an abundance of caution, please stop feeding the treats to your pet immediately as Irish Dog Foods reviews the quality concerns.”
According to the Cosco notice, the treats within this doggie advent calendar do not mean Costo’s quality standards. Costco also advises that further information regarding the affected calendar can be retrieved by contacting Irish Dog Food directly, either via the customer information email address ([email protected]) or by contacting the company’s customer service department via the available phone number, 888-671-8851 (Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm).
Costo has signed off on the product advisory notice with an apology for any inconvenience this may cause and with a request for the information regarding this advisory to be spread as much as possible to ensure that nobody is left out of the loop.
